St. Conrad Church Choir is a ministry of song within the Catholic Church. Based at St. Conrad Catholic Church in Ramotswa, the choir has played an important role in the spiritual, liturgical, and social life of the parish for many decades.
Through singing, the choir contributes to the celebration of Holy Mass, other church services, and various activities of the Catholic Church. Beyond its musical responsibilities, the choir has also become an important family and community organization, promoting unity, fellowship, compassion, and service among its members and the wider community.
St. Conrad Church Choir was established in 1974 in Ramotswa. Its formation was made possible through the efforts of Fr. Seane, Father Makuka, and Mr. Muhammad, who laid the foundation for what has become one of the notable Catholic choirs in the Diocese of Gaborone.
Since its establishment, the choir has continued to grow and attract members from different generations. It has historically enrolled members through the Chiro Movement, and over the years it has welcomed adults, young adults, and youth. This continuous renewal of membership has enabled the choir to preserve its traditions while also embracing new ideas, musical styles, and generations of singers.
